Showing Your Home

How do you stage your home for a viewing? When selling your home through me, prepping your home prior to listing with a home stager is included. That way you know exactly what to do every time you have a showing. Here are the little things that go a long way to prepare for potential buyers to feel welcome and see your home at its best.

  • De-clutter the space - this helps the potential new owners see things from their life being placed around the house, while also providing a clean and open view during the showing. You can store your nicknacks in a box or tidy bin in your garage or closet. Tuck away anything of value or that you don't want seen.

  • Bake cookies before a showing to appeal to their senses. People feel at home and warm inside when they smell fresh baked goods. You can get those instant ready cookies from Costco or the Grocery store. Take them with you for a snack when you leave! If baking is not your thing, light a candle before you leave for half an hour. We suggest you use light scents – Glade outlets or the Febreze air freshener sprays can be overpowering and deter buyers.

  • Turn on all the lights and open up the curtains/blinds, lamps too! And be sure to make your beds.

  • Always do a quick tidy up with a cloth in the kitchen and dust up your surfaces & empty all of your garbages.

We hope it goes well and enjoy your sweets during your time out of the house!

See you next time,
Alanna
